The JOGG Midwives Private program is exclusive to those women delivering at Joondalup Private Hospital with Mike Kamara. As part of this program, your JOGG midwife will support you throughout your transition into parenthood. Your midwife will care for you, answer your calls and questions in partnership with your obstetrician, and provide you with support every step of the way. You will see your JOGG Midwife and Obstetrician at standard time points in your pregnancy. The relationship you build with your midwife is fluid and constant over your pregnancy and early newborn days. The JOGG Midwives program is centred on making sure you receive the support and expertise you need from the moment you choose to have your baby with us through to those first few weeks after your baby is born.
With the Midwifery Led Care program, your midwife will be at your birth, providing you the strength and support you need during labour. Your midwife can provide early labour support at home and will be your advocate as well as your partners support system, helping your partner help you. Your midwife will help you and your family with the initial breastfeed and one to one assistance with your newborn and transfer to the postnatal ward.
Once you have been discharged from the hospital your care will continue with an additional 6 weeks of postnatal care. Your midwife will provide you with the support and education you may need during your transition to parenthood. You will have your 6 week appointment with your obstetrician.
